Proactiv has long been the industry’s most popular acne treatment ever introduced! It was first developed by two dermatologists who said that they were sick of the same old same old and wanted to break the mold. They have since sold literally millions of bottles to the average consumer, and they continue to attract celebrity endorsements, customer reviews, etc. Some of them are somewhat debatable. There is some controversy over the original Jessica Simpson testimonial as she previously stated that she has used Accutane to clear her acne. But considering the still somewhat healthy condition of her skin, I actually doubt she ever used Accutane.
With this in mind, looking at Proactiv, it uses one of the most popular ingredients in the acne fighting industry. And I’m not going to cut corners here. It’s popular for a reason. Benzoyl peroxide works to fight acne! And whether you are using 2.5% or 10%, it can provide greater results. They of course use clinically proven amounts to achieve these results. But benzoyl peroxide alone is not enough, at least not to me. After all, how many different products use it?
In addition to that, Proactiv actually has a number of other pieces. They have a toner and moisturizer that have been long known to complete the package and give consumers that extra step they need to see results. And more recently, they have come out with a green tea moisturizer. Green tea is one of the most popularly known and the strongest natural antioxidants. It can naturally kill off harmful free radicals and rejuvenate and brighten the skin at the same time.
When using Proactiv, there are plenty of imitators out there. Ironically, many have found that Proactiv is the same exact price as imitators like Acne Free. They claim to have the same formula, and they claim to have a cheaper price. Neither of those assertations are true. Acne Free is again the same price as Proactiv, more expensive if you buy Acne Free Severe. But while many consumers have found that it is not as effective, they have also found that Acne Free actually comes with quite a few side effects that they did not see with Proactiv. Obviously, they have the same key ingredient. But with all of the other fillers, preservatives, and ingredients of all kind that you will evidently find in cheap imitators, but not Proactiv, it’s truly best to simply stick with the original.
